Your piece on Anne Frank was amazing. My husband and I toured the home where she and her family were hiding and when we left we both were moved to tears because you can still feel her spirit there. I can't imagine how difficult it must have been for her, her family, and the other family to live under those circumstances. I always suspected someone who worked there had betrayed them but didn't know about the council of Jews. The story and investigation makes perfect sense.
We visited Dachau on that same trip and we were told that all German school children are required to visit a concentration camp with the hope that history would never repeat itself. Thank you for bringing this story to the world.
