Disappointing. It has all the right elements but little of the fun, silliness or originallity of the "wipes" that Charlie Brooker used to do before moving to Netflix. This would be so much better if it was the old style "wipe" with Charlie Brooker sitting behind a desk or on a sofa doing his mad rants. It's a shame as I was so excited to see this come up

I didn't watch Sapphire and Steel much when It was originally broadcast. I was a little too young for it but I caught the occasional episode and was intrigued by it. I've just finished watching all episodes on ITVx. It's a curious and intriguing show. There's a really good idea within the show. It suffers from being made at the time it was. There are some strange camera angles, strange filming, it's rather slow and inconsistencies in characters and narrative. There's no character development, it seems to delight in being strange and unexplainable. It feels a little like Joanna Lumley and David Mccallum didn't really know what was going on. Having said that it's really got something interesting and intriguing. I've enjoyed watching it although I haven't enjoyed everything about it. I could see it working as a reboot with better writing, more consistent story telling and characterisation rather like Dr. Who became something special when rebooted via Russell T. Davies. I'm going to say again this was a very intriguing show, it had some genuine sense of threat and uneasiness and was good to watch.

It's difficult to express just how awful this film is. The acting is like dead wood. The script is dull, boring, obvious, predictable. There is an utter lack of understanding how college works or how discussion works. The plot is simplicit and stupid. This is purely a vanity project for the writer/ actor. The fact that the Grampa is better than anyone at everything purely because he's a Christian is embarrassing to the extreme and again shows the utter ego of the writer/ actor. The morals of the film are an absolute corruption of what and how atheists or non religious people behave. The gaslighting is outrageous and the idea that you can't be moral without religion is offensive. The scientific facts are totally misrepresented and mostly just lies. The female characters are are under written and are portrayed as saints or ho's. This is a laugherly bad film. Awful acting, script and direction. The worst thing about it is it's utterly immoral attitudes towards people
