I enjoyed the series up to a point and then it got so muddled and off track. The end with Dee being almost without a soul or conscience was awful. Also most of us never lived through that time and to say that all white people were evil is as crazy as saying that all people at that time were one way or the other. Mostly I grew up in the 60's and 70's and was bused and beat up for lunch money by black people, and had a classmate (white) murdered by a black student over an annual, So please, I got over that and went on to work with all colors of people and never thought they were anything other than their own personalities. I feel that a series like that one which I was thrilled about to begin with only makes all of the race problems even worse. There is not a white or black or korean youth that could have watched that show and not come out the worse for it, not to mention the treatment of gay and trans characters. Never have I shared a thought on a Television series, but this one made me want to forget about my HBO forever and most likely will
