This is a great book, covering important themes kids need to know. It’s great how the characters are respectful of the elders and look for ways to find a compromise. That shows key critical thinking and conflict resolution skills that kids do well to learn early on. Plus, they learn these skills through the theme of the arts which is also nice. Our kids liked seeing a wide variety of kids represented and especially the scenes where you can see so many various cultures and ethnicities shown. It represents the world accurately as it is today and shows kids how to get along across cultures, ethnicities and generational gaps by emphasizing belonging, kindness and empathy. This is a series we will definitely be following because our kids gain value from reinforcement of these skills and behaviors. The illustrations are also lively, bright and very appealing. We’re already looking forward to the next book in this series!
