I am 32 and i have literally NEVER seen a movie twice in theaters. Hardly go to the theaters but saw this in theaters twice. I read Herberts Dune and Messiah, and feel the film really honors the themes and tone of the books. There are a lot of changes, but did not bother me as a book reader, because it made the pacing of the movie work really well. Acting - Phenomenal. Visuals - Stunning. Sound - Stupendous. Dialog - Sparse but intense. Story telling - blew my mind. I love this movie. Wanted to see the spacing guild, but i can wait for Messiah. After watching, the focus on the Bene Gessirit was great for messaging. I love this movie.
