If you want the emotion of the cartoon version, it misses it. I missed Elton John performing the music. Scar was much more entertaining in the cartoon version. So glad James Earl Jones was still Mufasa with his dynamic powerful voice. The humor and mischievous nature of the hyenas was lost in this movie. There was some humor but there was a level 1 in the passion department.
