Congratulations to the film maker on weaving such beautiful anthology of stories. However in the process of portraying women liberation it belittles men terribly and glorifies smoking and drinking.
Although most films do romanticize smoking and drinking, in this film the problem is in the direct symbolism where smoking is visually shown as a means of liberation.
I think we need strong women-centric films which portray the multi-dimensional role she plays. It's amazing how women have always been great multitaskers and in most Indian families women have been the anchor. If bollywood focuses on these factors and define liberation as a means to live with head held high; every Indian woman and man will strongly take notice and be inspired.
