This is nothing but pretty garbage that doesn’t follow any of the story or history of the canon characters. Amazon does not have rights to the Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales, or any of the other Histories, where the majority of the information about the Second Age can be found, they only have the Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, and the Appendices. The events of the Second Age are only mentioned in brief outlines in these materials, so Amazon is writing their own story. Elrond who in canon is a descendant of two royal lines is excluded from a ‘lords only’ meeting. They’ve changed his entire family history and legacy, and they’ve also removed his wife - who is also Galadriel’s daughter but there’s no sign of Celebrian or her father Celeborn who Galadriel married in the First Age. They’ve pretty much swapped Elrond and Galadriel’s roles because she was the one who wanted to rule while Elrond was the one leading armies. Galadriel was never a warrior on a revenge quest, and it’s insulting that they’ve reduced her to being a sword slinger when she was more powerful without one, Even if you’re not comparing this to the story that it’s claiming to adapt it fails on all fronts. The dialogue is poorly written, the pacing is all over the place, the costumes are terrible and cheap - take a look at the long sleeved shirts printed with an armor pattern. Slapping gold foil on everything doesn’t make it look good. The scenery might be beautiful but everything else is a shallow mockery of a greater work.
