Brilliant. Timothy Spall at the very top of his game.
Real sense of underlying menace and of time and place. Even though most know the ending it was so well written, directed and acted it draws you in.

Brilliantly written and made the dilemma facing the parents so real. Superb acting by all involved. I felt they weren’t acting but living their roles. I felt emotionally drained at the end. Undoubtedly one of the best programmes I have seen on tv. It must be up for awards in so many categories.
