I have read all of the books in the correct order. Killing Floor was very good but others are even better so I am looking forward to more. The best part of the Tom Cruise movies was the supporting cast as Tom strutting around doing the “little guy talking tough” is not Reacher. This Reacher is much more humorous and true to the book character. Yes he chatters more than the book character but this is necessary without the internal dialogue. And the supporting cast is wonderful. 8 episodes allows detail worthy of the book with added Reacher backstory and excellent supporting character development. Each episode is more exciting than the previous. In all of the books there is a “why don’t they just shoot him?” moment and this is no different but that is part of the charm. Lee Child’s concept of a hero who is competent and free rather than drunk and damaged works well! I enjoyed this treatment at least as much as reading the book. Bravo!
