Honestly one of the best kids spooky movie i’ve ever watched 10/10. The animation style fits the theme so well and for the people saying they look like Riley Heffley, Rodrick, Heffley, and Elizabeth afton, this movie came out before any of them were even invented. Lots of movies these days are trying too hard to have sad parts while the tender parts in this movie feel natural and honest. I haven’t gotten to the sound and it’s actually phenomenal. The voices are incredible it sounds so real and the kids actions are so natural and child like, unlike netflix accent darr man kid actors. The fact this movie was made so long ago is insane, def was too good for its time.

This movie just seemed it was trying to normalize something that ALL parents are against. A 12 year old girl walking around nyc with a grown man who talks about taking her to imaginary places? Thats such a red flag. Plus all the empty plot moments. It’s like a bunch of scenes were just taken out the movie. Plus the girl has a netflix accent, just really cringe. Plus the man sneaking in a child’s bedroom? It seems like this movie was made to make it easier to do things to children.
