Who is this for? It isn't for macho men that like watching spandex clad muscle men hit each other while pretty girls stand nearby. It isn't for cinephiles and drama fans, because there's no mystery or art to the plot or the story. It isn't for anti-racist crowd, because she turns out not to be special on her own, but only because of her heritage. It isn't for history buffs, because the whole Choctow angle is reimagined and doesn't get fleshed out beyond the main character's 4 ancestors. It isn't for superhero fans, because there is little action, and 3 of the 4 characters with the most screen time are clearly not heroic. I just feel like Marvel has forgotten their first love; who are they making programing for? I appreciate that Ant-Man is lower stakes, Winter Soldier was a spy movie, She-Hulk was about a real person suffering through growing pains, but I feel like Echo left both the Super and the Hero out of a superhero show. Unless Marvel isn't a superhero media company anymore,. If that is the case I'd still say the show peaks at average and is completely forgettable.
