Too much gratuitous hate showing in the last chapters and the afterword. There was no need for the recent U.S. political content in this book; And no reason for him to sacrifice Allon for Biden. Silva sacrificed Allon's dedication to his people and to his mission. In the afterword, Silva presents us with fake news, perhaps thinking he is what passes as a journalist these days vs. a writer of fiction. The author's personal prejudices tripped up the plot and his hero's soul/identity. Silva "kinda" shot himself in the foot.
