I really liked this show..up until season 4.
First off they switched from a vibrant camera to this super unsaturated grey filter, so colors aren't noticeable.
Second, they killed off every single one of the main characters (the Clark family) except Alicia. I mean, Nick was introduced as the main character with the first season pretty much revolving around him, just for him to get shot and die one of the most anticlimactic deaths ever.
There was also a scene at the end of that episode where he "goes to heaven" and Madison is there. Remember that.
After that Morgan (character from the original series) becomes the main character along with Alicia and Strand. So there goes any hope of the Clark Family Story somehow continuing.
Season 5 probably would've been a good season 1, no other review needed.
Season 6 was probably one of the worst in the series, since it felt as if they were repeating the same script over and over again and adding different things every time. First few episodes of season 6 started off with showing where Virginia placed all of the characters, and showed the stories new villains who once again replaced the old villains (Virginia > Logan, Spray Painters > Virginia). Eventually a man named Teddy launches nuclear missiles, burns Virginias sister alive but somehow doesn't affect anyone else.
Season 7 felt extremely rushed, characters were killed off way too quickly. Also Strand does this complete 180 and becomes the villain, after stating countless times he's changed. John Dorie, one of my personal favorite characters from the 'reboot' is killed after his father appears in the show, Alicia dies, I can't bring myself to remember what happened to Daniel but it probably wasn't that good. After the shipwreck of those episodes Madison (who was trapped in a closed inescapable baseball field with a couple hundred zombies) returns, after looking to find her children (the irony is that they're all dead) and steals a baby from Morgan. Morgan catches her and notices she's Nick and Alicias mom, so he offers to help her. Shortly after that season 7 ends, and Madison obviously sets up to be the new main character.
TLDR:
This show was enjoyable for the first few seasons, but eventually they left too many plot points so they rebooted it and now it's a chore to watch.
Also I would've loved to see that Tobias guy from season 1 reappear 🥴
