From start to end there were almost subliminal undertones relating to the origional film The Shining which filled in the blanks between scenes giving the sequel a sense of meaning. Forty four years is a long time to wait but on this occasion it was worth waiting for. The characters were all strong and gave the overall feel to the film a possitive sense of purpose very sureal. I think Doctor Sleep will become a classic because it gave me the feeling of being a timeless masterpiece that Stanley Kubrick would have endorsed.
