Made for movie goers, not critics.
This film for me was a solid 8/10, I love action films and I have many fond memories of riding bullet trains around Japan.
It’s easy to criticize films when they’re attempting to emulate a well known directors cinematic trope, I.e. Tarantino talking heads, Guy Ritchie mobster characters. Bullet Train does this, but does that inherently make it unoriginal? I completely disagree.
It’s worth a watch on the big screen. It’s a refreshing mix of comedy and action, in a wonderful setting, that doesn’t have to tie into a multi verse of other films. The third act absolutely delivers.
