It's a very beautiful show with little to no character development 3 episodes in. Galadriel has been turned into a one dimensional Feanor. The Exile of the Noldor isn't even mentioned. The elves are really just humans in this series. Unlike the Peter Jackson films (he also made changes to the source material but not on this level) these showrunners don't appear to be making any attempts to truly adapt the 2nd Age of Tolkiens legendarium and because of that, the spirit and themes that those Peter Jackson films maintained simply doesn't arise 3 hours in here. It feels like any other fantasy series but with way more money in the cgi dept. The dialogue is on par with the Witcher series.
