A mix of Gothic horror/romance and psychological thriller, The Haunting of Bly Manor moves in a hypnotized pace, drawing the viewer in as one of those who are caught up in the swirl of mysteries that seem to emanate from the misty lake by the manor. This genre used to be more popular in times past and is much rarer now. Today horror is all about frightening images with little plot depth. The Haunting of Bly Manor offers an intricate story that holds its secrets until the very end. A+

The most uplifting memoir of humanity on television. Call the Midwife tells the story that would remain untold of women caught in a cycle of childbirth and the people who care for them and support them. It is a history lesson wrapped in a warm muffin made with love. The stories are rich and heartwarming with not a trace of saccharine. The beginning episodes are centered on the poorest parts of London beginning in the 1930s and history is portrayed in a way that leaves a mark on the viewer, leaving one feeling that they are now an eyewitness. Each episode leaves me with a deep feeling for the goodness that exists in humanity and a feeling that together we are survivors, here for each other in gratitude. I love this show!
