this film is beyond amazing. while not every detail is perfect, it is so honest and so bare. it tells the truth while holding you in suspense. Nolan has truly outdone himself with this almost wordless and bloodless piece. not only has Christopher Nolan captured the soldiers' side, he has presented the civilians' perspective as well. This film doesn't romanticize or beautify war; it sets forth the unusual and incredible history of Dunkirk. Thank you to Nolan, the crew, and the cast.
