Since I am a big fan of the Marshall movie, I hoped to love this series. While I was only three years old in 1943, my childhood was full of WWII stories, primarily from my aunts who worked in war-related jobs. The language and open sexual and alternate lifestyle references shown in the first two episodes ruined this series for me because it is totally inaccurate! Women did NOT use four letter words publicly and may have not even heard the F word in their teens and twenties. In fact, using obscene language in public could get you arrested then. As could public lewd behavior. Not judging just stating what was true of 1943. This series should have a disclaimer that the dialogue isn’t just fiction, it is fantasy. BTW, am a fairly woke feminist so my objections to dialogue and openly sexually permissive scenes are only meant to serve historical accuracy!!!
