I binge-watched the series in less than a week. Usually, I make fun of the stereotypical characters in plays/movies/series, especially those in which husbands and wives have multiple partners in villages, cities, industries and whatnot๐คฃ๐ Raj Chakraborty has beautifully captured the sweet, endearing, and affectionate people in the village along with its rural superstitions and politics. He has spread a unique message in a very subtle manner, and has shown us how to tear down the invisible walls of social discrimination. In his frame, we get a glimpse of the hardships endured by widows, divorcees, the women dumped at the altar, and men who block the opportunity to embrace openness and inclusiveness. Kaushik Sen is the sun in this galaxy. His acting skills are top-notch๐๐ผ as always. The message is so true and beautiful... Age is a number. It does not matter how old or young a man or a woman is... The minds of two people in love matterโค๏ธโค๏ธHonesty, loyalty, care, the willingness to spend time with one's spouse are the ingredients of a successful marriage. Another thing that I appreciate as a Bengali is that all the art forms have been explored... Like the urban and sophisticated Rabindra sangeet and the sparkling and exciting rustic 'bohuroopi' dance and song troupe's performance. The script was maturely handled and the English dialogues, for once, sounded accurate and natural. Usually Bengali serials do not do justice to foreign languages if they are used in the dialogues. The script was written meticulously. The new actor, Somu Sarkar, has performed brilliantly. Kaushik Sen's character is unique--he is dedicated to his work but manages all his relationships perfectly. It is hard to find such an ideal man amidst a flock of mama's boys๐คฃ๐ I wish all men could balance personal and professional relationships just like Arindam. Life would have been easier for women. ๐๐
