As a fan of the novel I was flabergast as I learned Stephen King enjoyed thils. No where in the movie did I feel it pay homage to the book. The scares were scarce and not moody scares, only jump ones. It could have been much better if it stayed true to the dialogue, friendships, depth in story that are all essential to its source.
