This book gives us great insight into how someone felt back in that time , someone that doesn't write fit the mold, someone who has ADHD, Depression and anxiety. Someone who couldn't form lasting relationships, probably due to how children were treated back then. It was soulless for children sent to boarding schools. I love the final, the interaction and the way he feels about his sister. it is quite beautiful. Don't get me wrong this is no Orwell or of someone in that class of writer, and today we have many books about people discussing there minds deepest and darkest thoughts, that flitter from one subject to another, but it was a very brand new concept back then so that has to be understood and why I gave it a 4.
