Saturated writing with beautiful and moving passages and ideas. However, I couldn’t shake the incompatibility between the narrative voice, being deeply self reflective and articulate, with the supposed narrator, a loosely educated, diversely traumautized, child drug addict. Overall, clinically imagined but a 500 page slog.
