Although rather slow at times, and occasionally a bit corny, this is nevertheless an outstanding 'alt' vampire movie, rtaher as if David Lynch had watched 'Let the Right One In' and thought, hmmm.... Thoroughly enjoyable and beautiful to watch, both in terms of performances and cinematography.

nice idea betrayed by appalling cliches, dreadful editing and overwhelming pretentiousness. And don't get me started on the musical score.

Lovely idea, apparently cribbed from 'The Orphanage'. Lots of nice touches and it looks beautiful. Such a shame the director apparently suffered a rush of blood to the head and had no editor to rein him in - result is confusion and incoherence.
