This movie, in my opinion, paints a glimpse on what people who suffer from any psychological disorder goes through in their mind daily. I think in this case the man played by actor Owen Wilson is suffering from something such as, bipolar,depression, or schizophrenia. (not quite sure). He is possibly portraying someone who has lost their family, job, and home due to this medical condition. His daughter his his hope that makes him come back to reality. Salma 's character is the illusion that convinces Owen that he does not need to be in this world, thus portraying why maybe many of the people who suffer from mental conditions feel the same way. That can also explain the grayness in scenes vs. the vibrant colors and paradise that world Salma's character was showing him.overall I really enjoyed this movie. Both actors were phenomenal as always.
