Kari Gillam

This is such a beautifully written story that transported me to the North Carolina coast in many different ways. The culture,accents, and nature descriptions were amazing. Overall, I loved all of the detail in describing all the flora and fauna of the area(grasses,birds,shells,etc). As much as I fell in love with her description of the setting, the story of the main character and her loneliness really captivated me and pulled at my heart strings. Her love for the marsh is so affectionately portrayed. For me, there wasn't one dull piece of writing, I was intrigued and entertained throughout. Such an amazing and impressionable book. Highly recommend.
