Characters: 3/5 Storyline: 3/5 Filmography: 4/5 Like many, I looked forward to the latest Park Min-Young drama. Disappointingly though leading lady Queen served up a lacklustre performance with FLW. Weather forecasting being the featured profession was a novel touch and deserves high praise as an unusual and unsexy setting. The show really shines a light on these unsung heroes and made a typically boring subject matter slightly less boring. However in terms of the romances (SPOILERS AHEAD!), the romance between PMY and Song Kang was unconvincing and awkward. The scenes felt stilted and it was hard to root for a lead couple who didn’t appear at all to be in love until after the break-up. It made no sense that everyone kept saying that PMY would be more devastated by this short fling than a 10 year relationship!! Conversely, while I did not want to root for them, the second (cheating) couple did immensely well in terms of character growth and likeability. Yoon Park’s arrogant and entitled character became more compassionate and humble across the series. Same with Yura’s bratty attitude which matured significantly over the series. IMO the second couple saved the show from being a complete trainwreck. While I remain a steadfast PMY fan, this drama failed to hit the sweet spot.
