I am in awe. Guys, maybe being delusional is the solution? because it worked out for Tate. Colleen gave me perspective, I resented Miles for allowing Tate to hurt yet he was capable of giving her what she wanted. Miles loved Tate, but he was scared, he was battling PTSD. His last relationship, which ended 6 years ago by the time he met Tate, scarred him. Miles shut himself off, he thought he wasn't deserving of love and all the good things that come with it, because of what happened in the past. He was the victim, he couldn't speak about it, he blamed himself for the death of his son. He couldn't forgive himself for hurting his Rachel, all this guy needed was closure. And Rachel gave him that, and with it, he acknowledged his love for Tate and he acted on it. His spirit wasn't strong enough to withhold the ghosts of his past, he lived through the ugliest side of love. It took Miles meeting with his past and forgiving himself. This is a book I would read again.
