There has never been a film that has generated as much text as Apocalypse Now. Francais Coppola's famously complex Vietnam war epic is a masterpiece of filmaking and storytelling. A surreal, phantasmagorical experiece for the viewer. Most people have starkly different perspectives regarding this movie but just about everyone agrees that this film is a monumental accomplishment. A stand alone among the greatest films ever made.

A superior example of storytelling with counter-culture overtones, "Bonnie and Clyde" deserves to be mentioned among the all time greatest works of cinema. It's a familiar tale told with sharp dialogue and stylish production design. Best of all, the entire cast is nearly flawless.

It's almost impossible to dislike Queen and, by extension, "Bohemian Rhapsody." Lead by a bold performance from Rami Malek as lead singer Freddie Mercury, this tale of rock music's greatest frontman and the band he helped create is sometimes aloof. The films title, like the song its borrowed from, is easily recognizable though there really are no revelations about the band or its songs. The entire film, however, does take the viewer on an exciting ride, bolstered by a terrific cast who execute their respective performances with a songwriters passion. A documentary about the band might fill in some details missed in this movie.
