Terrible storytelling with beautiful cinematography. Visually, this is a gemstone of a movie. But the plot line that carries it is almost indiscernible under the scope of the world it fails to explain. Fans of Frank Herbert’s celebrated work will leave this film feeling frustrated and bemused by such a haphazard attention paid the narrative’s plot line. The character development was nonexistent and wholly reliant on dramatic music effects to elevate the scene. All in all, I could have stayed home and scrolled through Donald Trump’s tweets to be confused.
