I watch your show every Sunday because I believe you present interesting stories usually without bias. I am a retired union member of 42 years and I served the union in a variety of capacities for 40 of those years. On 3/10/19, you had a story on concerning teachers being forced to pay dues. The teacher you had on your program complained the she was forced to pay for far left programs that harmed children. She also complained that she and others were bullied. What was disheartening for me was Sharyl never asked what programs harmed children or how she was bullied. Furthermore, the teacher dodged the question about the good that unions do as far as wages, working conditions, pensions and other benefits. In my experience in both the private and public sectors, there are people that love the protection and benefits of the union but hate to pay dues. They use many excuses like your teacher used but rarely give examples. It would have been great if she was asked.
