The original Wonder Woman was a masterpiece, it had a fresh take on an iconic character with wonderful storytelling, acting, and cinematography. WW84 is a sad predecessor!!!
I saw the movie at a drive-in so the lighting wasn't perfect as most of every scene looked dark. I thought this could be a contributing factor at first but as the movie played on, I realized it wasn't.
The opening scene on Themyscira showing the contest between the Amazons was great, and I think this is an area where Patty Jenkins shines. When we start talking about the rest of the movie flattering begins with the wishes...this concept worked in Aladdin but fails miserable here. The shallow, inescapable lame plot about an artifact giving Wishes is distracting and unrealistic. The very brief and laughable attempt to tie the artifact to an unknown god last only 1 brief moment.
The exceptionally scene with Cheetah is very brief, unconvincing, and again unrealistic...she reminds me of the cast of Cats (and no one loves Cats).
I'll say that the CGI was over-the-top (not in a good way) in several instances. I could go on but I've covered the main areas, and to reiterate, this move was very disappointing!
