One thing I can be happy for is that Robert Jordan didn’t have to live long enough to experience his life’s work be completely butchered. I wonder sometimes how Stephen King copes. I understand they had to adapt it to the small screen, the books are tomes. I know, I’ve given 20 years of my life to this series. But most of the changes they made to the characters and timeline were unnecessary. The main premise about the Dragon was even wrong. Pssst the dragon can’t be a girl! I am one and no I don’t take offense! Don’t worry there were still plenty of badass women in that series that were not the Dragon, we are included…. Oh and Perrin being married in the beginning of the show and he accidentally kills here for trauma effect. Completely unnecessary! Don’t worry the books gave all 3 of those boys enough trauma to deal with. Obviously this was not created by a fan, but by someone who was greedy and thought they had the next GOT and could make a killing on it. Brandon Sanderson you traitor! How could you allow these changes while being a producer on this show! Shame, shame, Shame! I don’t think this will last another season. If you like the show and haven’t read the books I hope it inspires you to read them. This is the greatest fantasy series I’ve ever read. It is incredibly complex which makes it almost impossible to bring to the screen. The only reason it got 2 stars is that it is visually pleasing and the magic is cool. But as a fan of the books it is hard to watch and not feel tainted afterwards.
