After watching 4 seasons, I was interested in following the characters hoping that they would develop into better people; that their story line would show moral growth and redemption. Sadly, this isn’t the case. Hiding under the veil of comedy, the show reveals that it’s ok to be amoral, that the purpose and only end or meaning of one’s life is to get high and drunk; to take no responsibility for one’s actions and to have everyone else applaud you for it. It truly is a sad commentary on the moral fiber of the writers and Australian society and values. So sad. We need to aspire better as humans.
