This book was a brilliant read! The characters were very likeable and Kaz Brekker is a very good protagonist. I love characters that are morally grey, even though he was more on the 'good side'. Leigh managed to turn a greedy and violent gang leader into a loveable, complex person. The world-building was well done and the descriptions really made me feel like I was there the whole time. The plot was really well executed and the heist explanation was riddled with little plot twists and really kept me on the edge of my seat. Giving the characters guns was so much better and more exciting than having them all fight with swords and daggers. All and all a great read and would recommend it to anyone who likes angsty main characters and committing tax fraud. [For legal reasons, that was a joke]
