I loved this book and my 9-year-old loved it too (and is now excited to read the Gargantis, which is a sequel.) Fast-paced and yet with good character development that makes you like the main heroes and want to help them fight whatever is disrupting the relative peace of Eerie-on-Sea.

Granted, I was watching it while battling a migraine, so all the special effects were lost on me (because it physically hurt to watch the continuous change of scenery). Otherwise, I guess it was okay.
