Wiplash is on of not so many movies that actually gives you a lot to think about after watching . At first glance it looked like stereotypical musical drama where protagonist goes through a self-development rollercoaster and achieves his goal . I thought that it doesn't deserve the reviews it got on this website . But writing this I realise how much it has contributed to the genre creating not only psychological obstacles , but physical aswell - in the face of the teacher majectically portrayed by J. K. Simmons . Not only metaphorically the protagonist went through sweat , blood and tears , but on his own skin he felt that hardwork . A masterpiece .
