Thank god we got a new perspective. I love that this show works in the gray areas of the Star Wars universe. There is no such thing as perfectly good or perfectly evil. Everyone has the capacity to be a bit of both. And a lot of times good and evil can be about perspective. This show holds a lot of important themes and teaches some valuable lessons. I appreciate that the creators went out on a limb here. I think that this show succeeded in portraying everything it needed to. I’m really hoping for a season 2.
Also, I just can’t get behind the bad reviews of this show. None of them feel substantial enough to be worth much consideration. It’s mostly not liking casting choices or the fact that this “contradicts the whole Star Wars universe” well duh! That was the whole point! It’s showing us another point of view that’s not dictated by the idea that Jedi are always good and sith are always bad. Plus any Star Wars fan who watched clone wars would know that not all jedi are good.
