This is a fascinating and compelling book. The descriptions of the city and its efforts to present its remarkable World's Fair amidst its sometimes diatressing urban surroundings are historically accurate and impressive--and gruesome murders provide a startling counterpoint. Very highly recommended.

Beautifully written, expertly edited, and wonderously evocative of a life graced by Nature. Highly recommended as both a thriller and literary text, which clearly deserved the Edgar Award .

Intelligent, well acted series about an important subject. The performances of Maggie G and Stephen Rea are outstanding.

Nothing new about Monroe and nothing profound enough to make this film memorable in any way. Casting Williams as Monroe unfortunately pointed up how much more thrilling and lovely the real Marilyn was.

Revision of social history was an interesting idea. Some of the acting was impressive. But the more it reverted to stereotypes and the more unfocused its central theme, the less powerful was its final effect
