This book was so amazing to read, I couldn't put it down at all, I had to to be fair but I was not happy in doing so. It took me about 11 hours to get through it all, and for the first 500 pages it was an amazing horror novel that I even ended up dreaming about the night prior. But as it began to reveal itself and close itself up I was left with a mediocre taste. It turned into something I didn't quite expect and though it wasn't a bad book by any means, the unexpected direction caught me off gaurd and ruined the pacing as well as the entire build up. My problem isn't with the length, in fact i loved that a book this long could be so easy to understand and cohesive! But the throw off for me really was the increase of a theme I thought was just an interesting sprinkle or to give readers a holding point of its similarities instead became a full blown preach. I'd recommend reading it despite that for sure though.
