My first time watching this. It was playing on Movies! Network tonight. I had it on and at first was kind of watching it while doing stuff around the house. Yeah, yeah. There's Andy Griffith hamming it up as an ignorant cracker, but very soon into it, I noticed there was a certain quantity to his performance. In no time at all, I was riveted and couldn't stop following this top shelf production. This film is excellent! And he, and the supporting cast were excellent as well. Everything is just great in this picture: the writing, directing, everything! And so timely in its subject matter. How easily people can become sheep and follow the next big thing!
