Movie fans will leave this movie with mixed opinions. For me, the movie was longer than need be. Long scenes depicting ordinary life should have been shortened where the conversation was not essential to the story line. But as a fan of theater, I loved the acting. Bradley Cooper was transformed into Leonard Bernstine through makeup, voice and acting. He deserves cudos for his portrayal. The same should be said for his wife. She was authentic and compelling. The movie tells us about the personal side of Leonard B but might have reached more fans if it paid tribute to more of the music he created.
