I loved the audiobook of The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store. I want to start by acknowledging the excellent reading by Dominic Hoffman who mastered the dialects of both the Black characters and the immigrant Eastern European Jewish characters. It’s unusual and pleasurable to read a novel that features Pennsylvania Blacks and Jews from Eastern Europe. This is their story.
