Beautiful animation and a very cool and VERY powerful Godzilla are definitely the high points of this trilogy. Unfortunately, the characters are so boring that I didn't care what happened to them. I don't care if the tall human-looking people are good or bad, I don't care if the jock human-looking people are good or bad, I don't even care if the actual humans survive or not. They talk about religion for 95% of the movie, and don't even make any unique or interesting points about it. Just blah blah humans don't appreciate God blah blah. And worst of all ... WHERE IS GODZILLA?! He doesn't do ANYTHING until the 32-min be mark, and has very little screentime. If you're gonna have poorly-written characters, at least make up for it with lots of fun Godzilla scenes instead of only a few per movie!
