I liked the movie but honestly I was rooting for the troll. His kind was done wrong in the past, wiped out for no good reason and all he wanted to do is go back home. It was his home first! They stole it and killed his family. I was rooting for him. Poor troll.

Everyone saying the jokes were lame, I actually enjoyed the jokes. I laughed quite a few times and didn't mind all the glitter and colors like everyone else seems to have not enjoyed. The movie started out good imo with a solid plot but I feel like the ending was very rushed and I certainly didn't expect them to end back up in the tree. If bergens have been eating trolls for decades they're not suddenly going to change their views on that in 1 day because a group of trolls sang a song and told them "hey just be happy!" I honestly don't know how this movie got so many spinoffs or why kids like it so much.

First thing I noticed off the bat was none of the characters showed any emotions. Like they sounded monotone throughout the entire film, the happy parts, the sad moments and the suspenseful ones. Also I feel like none of the characters voices match what you would expect to hear. There was just 0 emotions behind the voices. The songs were extremely dull and an absolute joke honestly. Be prepared is one of my favorite songs in the original and has so much spunk to it. This one was basically just Scar talking to himself with some light background music. It was pathetic! They could've done so much with this film but totally destroyed it. (Not in a good way either). Turning it off and putting on the animated. This is my son's first time watching the lion king and I want him to see what it's really all about. Not this monotone, lifeless, bogus film.
