Who honest to God takes Rotten Tomatoes seriously anymore? Anyways, watch for yourself and decide. I know nothing about the Appalachian lifestyle and am not white myself but I am a daughter, mother and wife and it definitely touched me. Amy’s performance was spectacular, as well as Glenn’s. The story is raw, sad and also happy.

It’s different. My 2 year old seems to love the Lunaria song and dances along which happens to be my favorite part. Cheng’e look like a cheap prostitute I prefer her without makeup I know sounds stupid but watch the movie first and then judge me. The neon colors and angry birds seem so out of place. Most of the songs are so weak. As a mom of course I cried on the first 5 mins thinking of my daughter if I were to die prematurely. Then when Cheng’e meets Huoyi again that was touching other than that meh. I watch it because my 2 year old seems to enjoy it and well I’m tired of Mickey’s Club House.

I love this movie. It’s so cute. I always cry at the end and I love the credits song “Carry me with you.” My toddler loves it too so it’s a win win.
