I remember watching both movies when I was little it was a cool concept of apes ruling the world and the humans are subservient...but the second movie took it to a whole new level... what happened to earth and the discovery of a mutant society worshipping the atomic bomb and the war between apes and subhumans with disastrous results....not like the first movie but it does make it an interesting sequel despite charlton Heston appearing in a small role beginning and the end of the movie...recommended

I remember first seeing it in the theater in 1982 I just got off the same year seeing rocky 3 good action movie saw it bout 5 times rented it on vhs... you can’t deny the power it has on future action movies it stands up to the test of time.... the new one I just saw... very different... it had an impact on me more of a human element than just being a killing machine although the revenge is still there the movie is good overall........when you go against the establishment and you put your life on the line for your country no appreciation whatsoever then you evoke the beast within you and show what your capable of and exact revenge and pay it forward later on

I grew up watching ultra man I came home from school and watched it on channel 20 I thought it was a cool show a science patrol member becomes a superhero by accident and fights evil creatures to save the world and perserve peace what an interesting concept
