No spoilers- I played with barbies as a girl but I don’t have the passion for them as this audience seems to have. The movie itself looks colourful and fun. For some reason though, the film makers decided to make the story dark, why? It’s definitely not made for kids, some jokes made me laugh, others made me scratch my head. There should have been a lot more musical numbers, they had Ryan G for goodness sake. Margo R acted well too and looked the part. The last part of the movie was beyond terrible, lots of preaching that made no sense. I was bored mostly and my friend fell asleep. I think my theatre was confused by the last line, we just got the heck out. Just watch cartoons, kids

No spoilers review: I haven’t watched the first movie so I came in not expecting anything. I grew up on Agatha Christie so I was impressed by the beginning, which resembled one of her stories. I liked the nod to covid, they could have used that more. Once they got to the island, it all went downhill for me. It’s a lot of glitz and not a great crime drama. Lot of stereotypes and not much depth to the characters. I kept on hoping someone would surprise me and for more to happen. Instead, it was a lot of recaps and the ending was poor chaos and childish. I’ll just go and read another Agatha Christie book thanks
