Just terrible writing and horrible politics war in a space show/ movie series. Like come on, if I went and wrote a movie that took place before The Avengers and it completely threw the timeline and lore into a shit show it would be leveled into the ground. But this is acceptable because "its Star Wars", and we need to make everything on how to be gay and incisive. Look I got no problems with that but don't throw it in peoples face without writing the show at least decently and then using homophobia and racism as your backbone to why the show was poorly received. You just have no idea on how to write a show and you clearly know you messed with lore on a series that is over 40 years old, how would you not expect people to not like?
